ROMÂNIA este pe cale să distrugă turismul din Valea Prahovei
De mai bine de 40 de ani, România discută fără succes despre tronsonul de autostradă Ploiești – Brașov, necesar acestei zone. Planificarea sa a culminat cu un proiect complet irațional, datând din anul 2002, care consta într-o rută ce ar fi traversat centrul orașului Bușteni, peste râul Prahova. Cu toate acestea, finanțarea pentru acest proiect a fost respinsă aproape 15 ani mai târziu (!!!), în cadrul unei conferințe la care au participat aproximativ 50 de primari din regiune și reprezentanți ai Băncii Mondiale. Emisarii Băncii Mondiale au declarat categoric că nu vor finanța distrugerea unei zone turistice. S-a sugerat, atunci, adoptarea uneia dintre propunerile alternative - deja elaborată în detaliu, care ar fi evitat o astfel de intervenție dezavantajoasă prin utilizarea a două trasee de tunel. Această soluție ar fi putut să obțină, de asemenea, aprobarea Băncii Mondiale.
După aceea, subiectul autostrăzii Ploiești – Brașov a dispărut din opinia publică timp de aproape șapte ani.
Acum, un nou plan a ieșit la rampă, care va produce prejudicii și va duce la distrugerea permanentă a întregii industrii turistice din Bușteni și împrejurimi. Un tronson de autostradă poziționat direct deasupra orașului, aproape de casele, pensiunile și hotelurile din zonă; nu în ultimul rând, un tronson care ar urma să fie construitla aproximativ 30 de metri deasupra Castelului Cantacuzino, afectând întreaga configurație a văii.

După cum se observă în simularea video, tronsonul de autostradă ar traversa în mod ilegal și aria protejată a acestui monument istoric de categorie A. Cum ar putea fi acesta rezultatul a peste 40 de ani de planificare? Acest proiect distruge veniturile potențiale ale industriei turismului, ce s-a consolidat de-a lungul anilor, lucru ce se reflectă în numărul mare de restaurante, pensiuni și hoteluri existente, dar și nou construite. Inclusiv Castelul Cantacuzino s-a dezvoltat continuu începând din 2008, devenind astăzi unul dintre cele mai importante repere turistice ale României, estimat la peste 450.000 de vizitatori până la finalul anului. Aceștiadoresc să se bucure de magnificii Munți Bucegi și de edificiul istoric.
Castelul Cantacuzino este situat pe locul unei vechi cabane de vânătoare care a existat încă din secolul al XVIII-lea. Are o vechime de peste 100 de ani și a servit drept popas pentru familia Cantacuzino în drumul lor spre Brașov. Castelul Cantacuzino a fost construit între 1901 și 1911 în stil neoromânesc, singurul stil românesc din istoria arhitecturii care a reînviat tradiția, i-a întărit originile și a legat-o de prezent. Stilul arhitectural neoromânesc este probabil cel mai bogată moștenire pe care România a oferit-o până acum culturii lumii (https://www.cantacuzinocastle.com/about).
Toate acestea urmează a fi acum îngrădite și chiar ruinate de planificarea inconsecventă a unei autostrăzi. În prezent, turiști din întreaga lume vizitează castelul, mai ales după ce a devenit una dintre locațiile de filmare ale serialului NETFLIX de succes, "Wednesday". Grupuri din Japonia, China, Australia, America și toată Europa se întâlnesc acolo în fiecare zi. Acești oameni, cu siguranță, nu vin să vadă un nou tronson de autostradă.
Există cinci planuri alternative cu tuneluri și alte rute, care vor duce în mod evident la eliminarea orașuluiBușteni de pe harta destinațiilor turistice, consecință pe care nimeni nu a catadicsit să o ia în considerare. Din nou, se remarcă gradul de corupție din în spatele acestui proiect.
O "rută mai ieftină", dar cu consecința eliminării definitive a orașului Bușteni ca destinație turistică? Consecințele socio-economice și alte implicații au fost, probabil, complet ignorate aici.
Pe cât de important este ca România să obțină, în sfârșit, o conexiune nord-sud în această regiune, care ar lega orașele Ploiești și Brașov, pe atât de important este să protejăm sursele de venit oferite de industria turismului în această zonă, care au fost create cu trudă de-a lungul anilor. Nu trebuie uitat că Valea Prahovei este una dintre cele mai frumoase zone din România, atrăgând milioane de turiști în fiecare an în țară și este, de asemenea, una dintre cele mai populare zone de agrement pentru români.

Analizând toate cele menționate mai sus, întreaga planificare a infrastructurii zonei SINAIA - BUȘTENI - AZUGA are consecințe irevocabile. Subsemnatul, voi face tot posibilul pentru a preveni această defrișare turistică.

ROMANIA is on the way to destroy tourism in the Prahova Valley area.
For more than 40 years, Romania has been unsuccessfully discussing the necessary Ploiești – Brașov highway route. Its planning culminated with a completely unreasonable draft dating from the year 2002, consisting in a route cutting through the middle of Bușteni city, over the Prahova river. However, the financing for this project was rejected almost 15 years later (!!!) during a conference where around 50 mayors of the region and representatives of the World Bank were present. The spokespeople from the World Bank stated emphatically that they would not finance any destruction of the tourism area. It was suggested that one of the alternative proposals - already worked out in detail - be adopted, which would have avoided such a disadvantageous intervention by using two tunnel routes. This would have, then, also received the approval of the World Bank.
After that, the highway plan as a public topic became again very quiet, for almost 7 years.
Now, a new draft came to light, a draft that will bring prejudice and lead to a permanent destruction of the entire tourism business in Bușteni and the surrounding area. A route directly above the city, close to the houses, guesthouses and hotels in the area; last, but not least, a route to be built approx. 30 meters above Cantacuzuino Castle, affecting the entire layout of the valley.

As the video simulation shows, the route would also illegally run directly through the protected area of this historical monument class A. How could this be the result of more than 40 years of planning? This destroys the potential income of the now well-established tourism industry that was built over the years, which is reflected in the large number of existing, but also newly built restaurants, guesthouses and hotels. The Cantacuzino Castel itself has since 2008 been developed into one of Romania's leading tourism landmarks, estimated to host over 450,000 visitors by the end of this year - visitors who wish to enjoy the magnificent Bucegi Mountains and the historic castle.
The Cantacuzino Castle is located on the site of an ancient hunting lodge that has existed since the 18th century. It is 100 years old and used to serve as a rest stop for the Cantacuzino family on their way to Brașov. Cantacuzino Castle itself was built between 1901 and 1911 in the neo-Romanian style, the only Romanian style in architectural history that has revived tradition, strengthened its origins and connected it to the present. The neo-Romanian architectural style is probably the richest heritage that Romania has offered so far to the global culture (https://www.cantacuzinocastle.com/about).
And all of this is now to be restricted and ruined by the inconsistent planning of a highway’s construction. Currently, tourists from all over the world visit the castle, especially after it became one of the filming locations of the very successful NETFLIX series, "WEDNESDAY". Groups from Japan, China, Australia, America and all of Europe meet there every day. These people certainly don't come to see a new highway route.
There are five alternative plans with tunnels and other ways, which will obvioulsy lead to the removal of Bușteni from the tourism destination map, a consequence which nobody cared to consider. Again, proving how much corruption is behind this senseless plan.
A "cheaper route", but with the consequence of forever wiping out Bușteni as a tourist destination? The socioeconomic facts and costs have probably been completely ignored here.
As important as it is that Romania finally gets a north-south connection in this region, which would close the gap between Ploiești and Brașov, it is also important to preserve the income sources created by the tourism industry in this area, which have been laboriously created over the years. It should not be forgotten that Prahova Valley is one of the most beautiful areas of Romania, attracting millions of tourists every year to the country and it is also one of the most popular recreational areas for Romanians.

Considering the above mentioned reasons, the entire planning for the SINAIA - BUȘTENI - AZUGA area has irreparable consequences. The undersigned will do everything possible to prevent this touristic deforestation.
